Despite every lifestyle YouTuber filming their Ferraris, the company itself doesn’t sell a massive amount of vehicles every year. Last year, Ferrari sold 9,251 cars across their range of five models. Now, that also comes with a big asterisk, considering Ferrari’s “entry-level” model, the Portofino carries a base price of £165,000. Ferrari is actually one of the bigger companies in terms of high-end vehicles, because of how extensive their lineup is.
For 2019, Ferrari has made a lot of headlines with their latest updates to their luxurious lineup. Newcomers like the SF90 Stradale and the F8 Tributo have definitely kept the public’s attention focused on the prancing horses new stablemates.
Sales have also been good, with a 9.5 percent increase in 8-cylinder sales and an 8.4 percent increase in 12-cylinder sales. Q3 sales rose by 9.4 percent to 2,474 sales which is enough for Ferrari to change their profit outlook for 2019 from 3.5 billion euros to 3.7 billion.
These numbers are only expected to increase as Ferrari updates the rest of its lineup, and introduces its SUV, the Purosangue.
As automotive journalists continue to tug at the heartstrings of enthusiasts with sob stories of the end of the car as we know it, companies like Ferrari are still seeing increases in sales, which is a good thing for the brand as a whole, but that also means that eventually those models will end up being sold as used, and while they won’t be like the bargain basement nonsense that I write about, they will be more affordable for the rest of us.
